This posting is not for regular readers but for potential users of search engines. If your MSIE is extremely slow or freezing, there are 80% chances that you will fix the problem by going into (Alt,) Tools, Manage Add-Ons, Enable and Disable Add-Ons. Click at SSVHelper Class for Java from Sun Corporation and disable it. Restart your MSIE. Done.
If you're in the minority, try to disable other add-ons one by one, especially those not signed by Microsoft if you can tell.
